How to clean UPVC fascias and soffits

What you need
A bucket of warm water with a little washing-up liquid or a dedicated UPVC cleaner, a soft-bristled brush on an extension pole, and a hose or clean water to rinse.
What to avoid
Scouring pads and solvents scratch and discolour UPVC. Pressure washers can force water behind boards and into the roof space.
When to call a pro
Above ground floor, reaching fascias safely needs proper equipment. We use water-fed poles with purified water that dries without streaks.
